The overall industrial chain of cyanide is relatively simple: upstream suppliers of light oil, liquid ammonia, methanol and caustic soda; The middle reaches are cyanide production enterprises, and domestic representative enterprises include Hebei Chengxin, Anhui Shuguang, Jincheng Hongsheng, Chongqing Purple Light and so on.

At present, the downstream application of cyanide is mainly as a key chemical reagent for gold extraction, and it is rarely used in medicine, pesticides and other fields.

In 2021, the five major domestic gold production enterprises - Zijin, Shanjin, Zhaojin, Hengbang, and CICC in the domestic gold production exceeds 20 tons, and the use of liquid sodium cyanide is also more than 3,000 tons.

At present, the use of sodium cyanide in domestic gold mining enterprises is mainly domestic, and imported products are almost not used, on the one hand, the cost of imported products is high and the procedures are complicated; On the other hand, the product quality of domestic sodium cyanide production enterprises has fully met the application needs.

At present, there are 5 enterprises with solid sodium cyanide production capacity in China, and the market is highly concentrated, and solid sodium cyanide is mainly based on export business, and the domestic market is less.

At present, domestic manufacturers with a certain scale of production capacity have Hebei integrity, Anhui Dawn and Jincheng Hongsheng, etc., of which Hebei integrity market accounted for 53%, Anhui Dawn market accounted for 25%, Jincheng Hongsheng accounted for about 16%, the three accounted for more than 90%.

The domestic production of solid sodium cyanide is mainly used for export, and the export volume accounts for about 89% of the domestic solid sodium cyanide production, of which the main export areas are Russia, Latin America, Africa and other global gold producing areas.

In 2021, the top10 countries in the domestic export of sodium cyanide accounted for about 65% of the total export volume, of which the export volume of Russia, Mexico and Peru exceeded 10,000 tons.
